Coffee and Chat

The Coffee and Chat group meets every 2nd Wednesday of the month at various cafes or tea shops.
Everyone is welcome. Sign up sheets will be placed on the table at the monthly meeting or you can book a place by email to coffee@ashbyu3a.co.uk.

0th April - Swarkestone Nursery Garden Restaurant

Seven of us enjoyed the delights of the coffee and cakes. Ten o'clock is definitely the ideal time to arrive at the restaurant as the scones are just coming out of the oven. They are large, abundantly filled with dried fruits or cherries or cheese, and they are delicious, especially while still warm. There is a fine selection of tray bakes if scones are not to your taste.

as usual, conversation flowed freely and a good time was had by all. The added bonus is the well stocked garden centre which warrants a good browsing.

Our next gathering will be at the Moment in Thyme in the Pass's Courtyard LE65 1AG at 10am on 8 May 2024.
