Food from Afar is the new name for International Cuisine! We aim to try all sorts of food from around the world, not just curries.

4 April - Ask Italian, Derby Rd Ashby

Six members of the group met at the Ask Italian Restaurant in Derby Rd, Ashby. Sadly, it was not a particularly good experience. The standard of the food was certainly below par and was, in some cases, stone cold. It is very unlikely that the group will venture across that particular threshhold again any time soon.

My thanks go to John and Margaret Howlett for keeping and eye on things for me over the past two months while I have been galavanting all over Great Britain celebrating a big birthday with family and friends. I am just sorry that they encountered so many problems and I am grateful for all the help they have given me.

We plan to go oriental this next month with a trip to the Taste of Thai in Market st, Ashby de la Zouch LE65 1AP on 2 May 2024, at 6pm for 6.30. Fourteen people have already signed up.
